Dr. F. L. Reese was a prominent actor-director in Phoenix from the 1920s on. He worked primarily at Phoenix Little Theatre and was active in the larger community, particularly with the Lion’s Club.
He was “the Phoenix voice of FDR” during Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s campaigns for president.
Dr. Reese served as president of the PLT Board of Directors in 1925-26.
Among the shows he directed for the company were The Show Off and Another Language.
His acting credits included Hotel Universe, Enchanted April, The Drunkard, Winterset, George and Margaret, The Torch Bearers and The Trial of Mary Dugan.
